Franklin Díaz is an internationally acclaimed mambo and salsa dancer, choreographer, instructor, and creative visionary based in New York. Known for his precision, musicality, and artistry, Franklin has dedicated his career to elevating Latin dance on both the social floor and the theatrical stage. He is the creator of the Mambo Movement (also known as the FD Method)—a distinctive teaching framework that blends mambo with flamenco, Afro-Cuban, and modern dance to cultivate dancers who move with both technique and soul.
Franklin travels extensively, having taught and performed in more than 20 countries worldwide. His workshops and performances are celebrated for their clarity, innovation, and expressive depth—inviting dancers to not only master steps but embody rhythm, phrasing, and musical storytelling.
Over the years, Franklin has studied under legendary mentors, including Eddie Torres (salsa/mambo) and Jose Molina (modern and ballet), grounding his artistry in both tradition and contemporary technique. This foundation has enabled him to create a style that is uniquely his own—one that is equal parts discipline and freedom.
As a performer and choreographer, Franklin has collaborated with iconic artists such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and the Fania All-Stars, leaving an indelible mark on the global Latin dance community. His students and audiences alike praise his ability to fuse sharp technique with passionate artistry, making every class and performance a transformative experience.
